our STUDIO

  • We are located at 102 West Chicago Avenue in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Our studio is on the northwest corner of Chicago and Clark. Metered street parking is available on Clark Street. We recommend to avoid parking on Chicago Avenue to avoid being towed.

    If you take public transportation, we are just a short walk from the Chicago Stop on the Red, Brown, and Purple lines—the 22 and 66 bus spots right outside our studio.

  • we offer our members complimentary towels, lockers, filtered water stations, and showers. We also provide mats to rent for non-members.

  • We can’t wait to welcome you to our community. Our studio doors are unlocked 15 minutes before class and locked when class starts. First-time members should arrive no later than 10 minutes before the start of your class for a studio tour and equipment introduction. If you arrive later and we cannot accommodate your equipment introduction, you will be asked to reschedule.

    We recommend that all members wear grip socks in class, but they are not required. No additional is needed for our reformer classes. A mat will be provided free of charge if you book your class directly through our app or website. If you book through one of our third-party partners, such as ClassPass, mats will be available to rent.

    We currently do not offer any special promotions for first-time visitors. You can purchase single-class credits directly on our website or app.

  • Our classes start with a detailed introduction warm-up routine, and late arrivals disrupt the experience for all members. We, therefore, do not allow any late entry once the door is closed and the class has started. We are punctual, and all our classes start and end exactly on the dot. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before class to ensure enough time for parking, check-in, and class preparation.

    If you must cancel your reservation, please cancel 10 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. If you fail to cancel your reservation and do not shower up to class, you will be charged a no-show fee. For members with an unlimited membership, you need to cancel 30 minutes prior to class to avoid fees.

Our Classes

We’re not Lagree or Solidcore; we’re ONYX! While there are similarities between our method, reformers and workouts are different and shouldn’t be compared to the two. During an ONYX workout, you will experience a slow-flowing sequence using a mixture of heavy and light tension. Proper form is critical to our workout, so we put our instructors in the front of the room so you always know what right looks like. Our coaches also offer personalized cues and corrections during class.

  • Open to all levels, the ONYX Method is ONYX’s signature class designed to help take you to the next level. This class is available on our reformer or the mat.

    The ONYX Method is a pilates-inspired high-intensity, low-impact, full-body workout taught in a stadium-style studio with the lights turned down low and the music turned up. The ONYX method utilizes slow and controlled movements in a flowing sequence scientifically designed to tone, condition, and restore your body. Our method combines traditional and athlete-inspired movements to tone, not bulk, your body.

  • For those ready for a challenge, we take our signature ONYX Method class and turn up the heat, literally. This class is available on our reformer or the mat.

    The ONYX Method heated class is a pilates-inspired high-intensity, low-impact, full-body workout taught in a stadium-style studio with the lights turned down low, the music turned up, and the room heated to 80-90 degrees. The ONYX method utilizes slow and controlled movements in a flowing sequence scientifically designed to tone, condition, and restore your body. Our method combines traditional and athlete-inspired movements to tone, not bulk, your body.

  • Change up your routine with our one-of-a-kind reformer bootcamp. This class will leave you dripping with sweat and feeling good. This class is currently only offered on our reformer.

    The reformer boot camp is a high-intensity, full-body boot camp-inspired class that uses our reformer instead of weights for a low-impact cardio burn. Taught in a stadium-style studio with the instructor in the center of the room doing the workout with you so you always know what right looks like. Our bootcamp format incorporates traditional bootcamp blocks such as Tabata's AMRAPS, etc. This class is designed to elevate your heart rate to optimize the afterburn.
